Welcome to PUJS

In Bangladesh (area 147570 sq km with a population of 145 million) at least 48.5% of the population, who live in below poverty-line, eke out a precarious existence amid ignorance, hunger, malnutrition, diseases and environmental hazards.

The hardship of the people is distressful in the rural areas and in the growing number of urban slum areas, where the meager welfare services if available are irregular, short-termed and uncoordinated.

Consequently the suffering of the poor is worsening fast. In view of these facts and circumstances, some professionals and reputed social workers headed by Dr. Shariff Ahmed Choudhury, founded this NGO on 21-02-2005 at Dhaka. From the view-points of environment destruction, poverty, unemployment and diseases in the country, the founding of this NGO is of tremendous significance.
